Den 26 maj blir det cykelfest i Göteborg Hisingen Runt är ett säkert vårtecken år efter år. Varje vår sedan 1977 har loppet arrangerats och det har vuxit varje år. Första året var det 150 cyklister som deltog och i år förväntas över 2000 glada deltagare medverka i denna cykelfest.
Samma dag firar Västkusten Runt 5-årsjubileum med distanser på 120 respektive 160 kilometer. Detta kommer bland annat att uppmärksammas på medaljbandet som Vasaboden tagit fram. Motivet på själva medaljen för detta år är Poseidon. Tidigare år har motivet på medaljen varit: 2014 GöteborgsOperan, 2015 Göta Älvbron, 2016 Bohus Fästning och 2017 Feskekôrka.
En av nyheterna för årets upplaga av loppen är att start och målgång sker inomhus. Det är något speciellt med varvet i Göteborg och därför är det extra kul att det är i just en tidigare varvslokal loppen startar.
I deltagaravgiften ingår det en måltid som serveras efter målgång och även denna serveras i en tidigare varvslokal. Men det är såklart inte samma lokal som start och mål sker. Och du behöver heller inte vara utan energi utefter banan då det finns väl tilltaget med depåer på samtliga sträckor.
Förutom denna cykelfest finns även andra festligheter i nära anslutning till eventområdet. Dels så finns foodtruckfestival, uppvisningar och tävlingar. Det kommer även anordnas lopp för de minsta cyklisterna med medaljer även till dem. Det enda som krävs är att du tar med en cykel och hjälm till dina cyklande barn.
Missa inte att utnyttja tjänster som väskinlämning, cykelparkering och massage efter loppet. Du behöver bara tänka på din cykling och njuta av din prestation eller ditt sällskap när du är ute och cyklar.
Både Hisingen Runt och Västkusten Runt är motionslopp där alla är vinnare. Vinnare då alla får njuta och motionera i sin takt. Dessutom får ju alla medaljer så då är du ju en vinnare på riktigt. Men det finns även möjlighet att vinna något extra. Det finns ett prisbord med diverse trevliga priser som lottas ut på nummerlapparna.
